The Jammu and Kashmir government has launched a highly impactful initiative — the Ladli Beti Social Assistance Scheme — aimed at securing the future of girl children across the Union Territory. This scheme not only provides monthly financial aid of ₹1000 but also ensures a lump sum benefit of ₹6.5 lakh when the girl turns 21. This is a golden opportunity for families with low income, especially those holding BPL, APL, or AY ration cards.
